NVIDIA is reviving the 2021 GeForce RTX 3060 12GB for a 2026 return. According to consistent supply chain reports, production of the RTX 3060 12GB is restarting. GPU supply is expected to resume in June 2026, with add-in-card partners ASUS, MSI, Colorful, and GALAX receiving new chips and beginning mass production of cards around July. So whats going on: >NVIDIA has reportedly delayed its planned RTX 5050 9GB model due to memory shortages and shifting production priorities. >The older 8nm Samsung process and GDDR6 memory used by the 3060 make it simpler and more cost-effective to ramp up quickly right now. >The card is positioned to serve both the budget gaming segment at 1080p and 1440p as well as local AI inference tasks that benefit from its 12GB of VRAM. The 3060 12GB will be very similar: >No major spec changes, same 3584 CUDA cores, 12GB GDDR6 on a 192-bit bus, and around 170W TDP. >Price: new cards are rumored 200 to 300 dollar range >It will still lack the latest features such as DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation The details come from consistent leaks reported So yeah, welcome back old friend, the GPU market in 2026 is wild enough that we are time-traveling to 2021 for affordable 12GB cards.
