Great tour with @RepEliCrane this morning of the Theodore Roosevelt Dam on the Salt River.
Completed in 1911 by @USBR, the dam showed that large-scale water storage, irrigation and power development could transform the American West. Today, it provides roughly 40% of Phoenix’s water supply and enough electricity to power 30,000 homes!
