I wrote this book because something has gone badly wrong in the way we talk about Zionism.
Reclaiming Zionism looks at antizionism as history, psychology and prejudice, and asks why Jews are so often made to answer for a government, a war or a border simply because they are Jewish.
It does not argue that Israel is beyond criticism. It argues that when criticism of a state slides into hostility towards Jews, Jewish institutions and Jewish identity, politics has become prejudice.
No slogans. No hashtags. A case.
When did Jewish self-determination become the one nationalism expected to apologise for existing?
