Dr. Jonathan Leventhal and @yalederm residents recently screened local firefighters for #skincancer# due to the high risk occupational hazards that they regularly come into contact with. “This risk is likely due to environmental risk factors such as skin absorption of combustible carcinogens as well as cumulative #UV# exposure [from spending long periods of time outdoors],” says Leventhal.
