I keep seeing every new tokenized asset launch described as RWA adoption. I don’t think issuance alone tells us that. So I went back to @coingecko’s RWA Charts and compared the live market cap with actual trading activity. Right now, tokenized RWA market cap is $9.04B, up 6.3% in 24H. Meanwhile, trading volume has reached $1.64B, up 148.2%. That volume is equivalent to roughly 18% of the entire market cap in one day. This was the part that caught my attention. The asset base is growing, but activity is accelerating much faster than the value being tokenized. It doesn’t automatically mean the whole RWA market is becoming liquid. One asset or issuer could be driving most of the spike. But where is the volume actually coming from? This is how I use the page: → Compare market cap by asset type → Check whether volume follows the same category → Switch to issuer view to see who controls the activity → Use token count to separate real demand from simply adding more listings → Move between 24H, 3M, 1Y and Max to check whether the move is temporary or structural For example, if token count rises but volume per asset stays weak, the sector is expanding in supply, not necessarily adoption. If market cap, volume and issuer activity grow together across longer timeframes, that is a much stronger signal. This is why I find the page useful. It lets me separate 2 things people often treat as the same: → More assets tokenized → More capital represented onchain → More users actually trading them The current volume spike is worth investigating, but the asset-type and issuer breakdown will tell us whether it is broad RWA growth or concentrated activity.
