The practice of engaging in prolonged or unproductive debate about P(doom), AI safety, or hypothetical existential risks, especially at the expense of using advanced AI for productive scientific discovery, technological invention, or problem-solving.
Example: “While others were using advanced AI to accelerate research and invention, the podcast spent another afternoon doomstalling over x-risk.”
