I'm considering creating a new group chat for Effective Accelerationism (e/acc). Social media is increasingly flooded with AI doomer messaging and psyops, and I want to bring together people who are willing to push back. e/acc is the antithesis of that doom mentality: optimism about technology, enthusiasm for AI, and the conviction that we can build a much better future. There is so much worth being excited about, and I want a place where people share that excitement, discuss advances, and support the people making them happen. The group would also be about uncovering the networks, funding, and schemes behind doomer campaigns. Who is pushing these narratives, who is paying for them, and what are they trying to achieve?
