i really liked this advice i saw that said you need to be as authentically polarizing as possible because you’re not trying to be kinda liked by many, you’re trying to find one match that’s extremely compatible with you.

Sucks that being "good at dating" and being good at actually finding a life partner are totally distinct and generally non-overlapping skillsets
