So...where do we go from here?
When I first had this idea, I wasn't sure there would be any takers
(And all of you proved me wrong - for that, thank you)
But I knew one thing: this idea could ONLY be built with crypto
Think about the core mechanism at play here:
1. BUY a slot.
2. EDIT it
3. RESELL it
Step #
1# and #
2# are easily done via tradfi. I could replace the wallet payment with a Stripe credit card link and it would work just the same
Step #
3#, however, can ONLY be done with crypto
You can't send payments from your account to some stranger's account with a cut for the treasury and royalties to the original holder in between. All trustlessly.
But in crypto, you can. Easily - the proof of concept is right in from of you
The more complex the financial transaction, the better crypto handles it
This project can stay within the walls of CT, I can bullpost it to everyone, and maybe we all make a pretty penny and forget about it in two weeks. And that would be a successful project by crypto's standards
But then I look at all the similar projects outside of CT that have been wildly successful. Like that Place experiment that had hundreds of thousands of players and months of longevity. So popular that people still talk about it years later
If I wanted to build something that gets talked on CT for two days and forgotten, I would've done what every dev on CT does - push out a few bogus updates a day (DEAD easy with AI now) and called it quits
But I want this to move outside of CT
I want this project to show the world what only crypto can do - push, pull, and transfer complex payment structures seamlessly
My goal for the next few weeks will be simple: spread this beyond crypto
CT will come to learn of this project overtime. I'm sharing it with everyone I know. I'm sure everyone holding $WEBSITE will do the same
I want this to be on Reddit, HN, and on the feed of every tech and media and finance account who only thinks of crypto once every five years
This HAS to be the gameplan, otherwise what are we even doing here? I've been here for 6 years and I've only seen this space shrink and turn insular
I will make my dev account tomorrow, and then I'll use all my resources to push this beyond CT
If we have to win, we have to win by winning outside of CT too
