A report by Physicians for Human Rights said the use of solitary confinement against Palestinian detainees has sharply increased, especially since October 2023, with children and women increasingly subjected to prolonged isolation.
The report said the escalation comes alongside worsening detention conditions, including starvation and abuse, with isolation being used as an ongoing tool of psychological pressure.
Experts also warned of severe long-term psychological effects on minors amid the continued expansion of arrest and isolation policies in Israeli prisons.
