Mamdani keeps stepping on rakes in a way that has to worry his supporters.
The Mamdani controversies (this list of homeowners, excluding Jewish lawyers from a list) weren't fights he was looking to pick. City Hall is missing some normal, hacky political radar to flag what's about to cause a controversy, and allows the mayor to pick battles.
