French-Palestinian MEP Rima Hassan deliberately destroyed an exhibition inside the European Parliament commemorating the victims of Hamas’s October 7 massacre, where she knocked the Israeli and EU flags to the floor, stepped over them, and walked away. Hassan also confronted Israeli artist Yaron Bob, whose work was displayed at the exhibition, and told him “Israel doesn’t exist” after he identified himself as Israeli. At least four members of the exhibition team witnessed the incident. Hassan, 34, was born in a Palestinian refugee camp in Syria and represents France’s far-left La France Insoumise (LFI) party in the European Parliament. Israel previously denied her entry over her support for boycott campaigns, and she later participated in a Gaza-bound flotilla that was intercepted by Israel.
