Currently the US has imposed a 25% tariff on the non-US content of vehicles produces in Canada 2. The same content provision will apply to the new 15% rate 3. US and Canadian negotiators have reportedly discussed whether to widen the exemption to include additional content, though no firm decision to do so has been reached The US-Canada trade deal appears to be materializing.
