I assign two trusted contacts during setup, and they never see my balances or transactions, they only matter if I need to recover. If my device is lost or compromised, I reinstall Bron, start recovery, they log in, send me a one‑time code, and after I enter both there is a 48‑hour delay before access is restored. After the Coldcard hack and years of dealing with seed phrases and hardware wallets, this feels like a more practical trade‑off: still self‑custodial, but with a structured way to recover that does not rely on a single piece of paper.
