come crashing in into my little world
Taking a moment to reflect back on my time in Bhutan, now that I’ve settled back into my regular back home in Hong Kong. Bhutan is sometimes referred to by its moniker, ‘the land of happiness’, they measure GNH (Gross National Happiness) as opposed to GDP like most other countries. GNH treats economic production as just one small piece of overall human flourishing versus pure economic output. There are various metrics that are taken into account, but the core philosophy is that balance, well being and sustainability equate to national success. What drove home the concept of balance was the fact that Bhutan has embraced digital innovation in integrating @Binance pay into its financial infrastructure, yet this was juxtaposed with how every shop and restaurant still manually wrote down every single sale in a note book, which serves as their ledger. Bhutan is balancing digital innovation, but safeguarding the traditions and the very foundations it is built upon. You look around and you see houses with traditional Bhutanese style window frames and exterior, but inside the house, it’s decked out with all the latest modern devices. Looking through the lens of digital payments, this has undoubtedly had a positive impact on the way business is conducted there, it’s made business owners and every day people’s livelihoods better. It’s a value add facilitation, rather than existing at the cost of everything else, identity, character, tradition etc. Perhaps they’ve come up with the winning formula to navigate a rapidly changing world, without having to compromise what’s important. Once again, thank you @cz_binance, @ellazhang516 and the @yzilabs team for hosting @Easyresidence in Bhutan, it was definitely eye opening 🇧🇹🙏

🚨 The Individual Is America’s Greatest National Treasure Kelsey Grammer: “They want to be in charge, and they don't want to value the individual. To my mind, the individual is America's greatest single national treasure, and that's what we always have to preserve.” Quoting Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn: “Let the lie come into the world, let it even triumph, but not through me.”

An Illegal Alien Criminal from Haiti, who was released into our Country by the WORST President in History, Crooked Joe Biden, and the Radical Democrats in Congress, just beat an innocent woman to death with a hammer at a gas station in Florida. The video of her brutal slaying is one of the most vicious things you will ever see. This animal was allowed to stay here because the Biden Administration granted him, and all Haitians, “Temporary Protective Status,” a massively abused and fraudulent program which my Administration is working to terminate, but Deranged Liberal District Court Judges are standing in our way. This one killing should be enough for these Radical Judges to STOP impeding my Administration’s Immigration Policies, and allow us to END THIS SCAM ONCE AND FOR ALL. To my fellow Republicans, and frankly all Common Sense Americans, NEVER FORGET that Joe Biden and the Democrat Party turned the United States of America into a dumping ground, allowing Tens of MILLIONS of Criminals, Lunatics, and the Mentally Insane from all over the World to pour into our Country, totally unvetted and unchecked through our wide Open Borders. As I’ve said all along, if you import the Third World, you become the Third World, and that is what happened over the four years of Democrat Control. We are rapidly trying to reverse this decline through Deportations, but if the Democrats are ever given another chance at power, they will immediately REOPEN the Border, and allow America to once again be a Safe Haven for Criminals. Please say a prayer for this innocent woman’s family. We will ensure quick and severe JUSTICE is served in this case! I don’t recommend you watch this tape, because it is so terrible, but felt I had an obligation to put it up so that people can see what Democrats are protecting, and wanting to come into our Country, even now, after all we’ve been through. Again, viewer discretion advised — Not for children! President DONALD J. TRUMP (TS: 09 Apr 19:49 ET)

5 years of Pudgy Penguins. It's genuinely incredible to sit back and see how far this brand has come. I've been a holder for around 4 years now, and it's been one of the best decisions I've ever made. I still remember the depths of the bear market, everything was bleeding, NFTs were being written off completely and most people had checked out. Then there was Luca, going on space after space, podcast after podcast, preaching the same message to anyone who'd listen. The importance of proliferating IP because what's the point of having incredible IP if you can't actually leverage it? While everyone else was panicking, Luca was painting a picture of where this brand was going. Today, we have products in Walmart, Target, Amazon, and much much more. A penguin from crypto went from the timeline to every corner of the world. My own journey with this runs deep. I bought my penguin, started going to the IRL events, and met the team in person for the first time at NFT Paris back in 2023. Fast forward a bit and I ended up joining the team myself. Getting to actually contribute to where Pudgy Penguins is today has been a privilege I don't take lightly. Running activations and experiences across the world and onchain. Watching some of the brightest minds in this space get pulled into the Huddle, and even into the team. It's been a journey I'll never forget. And when you look at what's actually been built, the numbers speak for themselves. Billions of views across the world. Millions of social followers. Millions of toys sold globally. One of the largest airdrops the Solana ecosystem has ever seen. Partnerships with brands people outside of crypto know. Igloo Inc as a whole has grown into something most projects could only dream of. But at the heart of it all is this amazing community that refused to leave, the friendships built along the way, and everyone who believed in the penguin before the world caught on. 5 years in and it feels like we're just getting started. Here's to 5 more 🐧

Last year I nearly shut down Blueprint. My reasoning was that in the grand game of existence, getting our societal goals right is the only thing that matters. In the long arc of time, it wouldn't matter if I built a longevity company. I wanted to invest all of my energy into Don't Die. Maybe I'm naive, however it seems obvious to me that when your species is giving birth to superintelligence, your sole concern becomes survival. Not because you're scared or fear what may come, but because you realize that superintelligence is big. Bigger than any of us can imagine and happening faster than our intuitions allow us to model. This is a hard concept for Homo sapiens to understand because we are not good at understanding our limitations of knowing. In the void of not knowing, the one thing that we each know to be true is that none of us want to die right now. When tomorrow arrives, that will be true about the next day too. Don't Die is not about immortality. It's about the most basic observation of intelligent life, we want one more breath. Just as Homo erectus, a million years ago, with an axe in their hand, was unable to articulate our modern world, we are once again Homo erectus relative to AI. We may experience a million years of relative progress in the next 10, 20 or 50 years. Given this, Kate and I have cycled through this problem hundreds of times over the past few years. How can we get the world aligned around Don't Die? Committed to the idea that in spite of our many differences, we share a planet and a common interest in tomorrow. Basically, how can we make existence profitable and die unprofitable. We saw the problem as two-fold. One practical and one spiritual. Practically, we need things to work in the world: clean water, transportation, energy, security, stable institutions, communications and health care. Spiritually, we need purpose, existential explanations, and hope. We also need progress and adventure: solve aging, abundant AI, creative joy and expression and things to build. We decided to build on both fronts. Blueprint would be the practical, a company aligned to Don't Die. A group of humans that labor together to help other humans thrive as their sole objective. To hold ourselves to a standard of making existence profitable and die unprofitable, for ourselves. To never let profit corrupt this goal. Sounds simple until you take stock of how many companies make their living on making humans die. Sometimes this is done openly and other times it's hidden in a mesh of poorly aligned incentives that are invisible. This is not an esoteric philosophical argument, death is measurable in a biological system. You can get clever and find arguments ("does this mean we shouldn't have children?") but we know death and life when we see it. On the spiritual side, we think that 2027-28 is the breakout time for Don't Die. Maybe we're off by a year or two, but we think it's soon. We believe that AI will create several societal shocks, none of which we will predict accurately, but will leave the world feeling unmoored. Hopefully it won't be catastrophic, but will be a cold water dunk we need to awaken us to the realization that no one really wants to die right now and that our current societal systems that profits from death are ill suited for this moment. That in our most sober moments, when at funerals, or after a near-death experience, we see clearly, even if for a few minutes. Above all, we care about life more than anything else. All else fades away in those moments. We see with crystal clarity that all the other stuff that had us entranced wasn't that important after all. I write this for two reasons. First, to invite you to build Don't Die in the practical world. Capitalism (profit and loss) is a good system that has done society well. In whatever you're building, align your and your organization's efforts with a loyalty to acting in people's best long term interests. Don't do things that cause other people to die, commit self harm, or create societal harm. This doesn't mean being paternalistic, it means using your best judgement about how you'd want someone else to treat you if the roles were reversed. Second, to ready yourself for the new philosophy that will be arriving shortly. One that prioritizes our shared existence and vitality above all other goals. Don’t Die is the foundation. Immortalism is what we’re going to build. Again, not for selfish reasons, but because we understand that we are warriors and caretakers of intelligent life in this part of the galaxy and we take on this responsibility with honor and nobility.

GERALD & THE FEATHERED BANDITS — PART I: THE WITNESS As promised, my favorite little creatures, you get two Gerald updates today due to a power outage and my working until 10 PM which quite rudely interfered with the increasingly concerning political development between myself and the flock of organized criminals. And unfortunately... While I was busy dealing with the collapse of modern civilization... Gerald was busy. Now there is something I haven't told you about this story that I now feel was vital information being missed. From the very start of this situation.. we've had a witness. Kitten. My best friend. My confidant. And, apparently, the world's least subtle crow conspiracy theorist. Every meeting between Gerald and I? She's been in the shadows watching. The nut negotiations. The Good Spoon Incident. The underworld factions institutionalization of a black market run by the city's worst Crows. The power-line surveillancing. My coronation into Kingly duties. Gerald's promotion ceremony to General. She was here for it it all. And while the rest of you have been watching this relationship blossom into whatever deeply concerning interspecies military alliance it has become... Kitten has remained suspicious. In fact, she's been publicly warning me. "Gerald has it out for you." "He's plotting something." "You're going to take the fall for whatever he's planning." Naturally, I ignored these concerns, because we are here for the plot development. Gerald is MY General. I am HIS King. We have bonded. Our communications are primarily through humming and prolonged eye contact and head nodding. Trust has been entrenched. This morning, however... Kitten didn't message me...she didn't call me...NOT. A. PEEP. Odd. But not entirely alarming. She does have a life outside of just me. Noon came and still... Nothing. I messaged her. No response. ....Interesting.... Concurrently, Gerald was behaving completely normal. And by "normal," I mean siting on my tree staring through my fucking window. "Morning, General." Hmmm. "Have you seen Kitten?" ... Gerald looked left. Then he looked right. Then directly at me. Hmmm. Suspicious. Suspicious indeed. Before I could give him the third degree, he flew away. Then I noticed something on my porch. There was an object sitting there. A shiny object. So obviously I walked over. It was a key. A tiny fucking key. Next to it sat a note. Now, I don't know how Gerald learned to write. I'm choosing to ignore that particular piece of the lore. I already have enough issues. The note said: TAKE THE KEY. So naturally... I took the fucking key. I KNOW. I KNOW. I CAN ALREADY HEAR YOU ALL SCREAMING. "Bexx, maybe don't blindly follow directions left by a crow who commands a small, but vast militia." Would be excellent advice on your part. Would've also been incredibly useful upwards of thirty seconds earlier. Because the INSTANT I picked it up... sirens. Somewhere nearby. Gerald sat upon on the power line. Then another crow. Then another. Then another. Within seconds the entire fucking army had formed. All staring at me. I looked toward Gerald. Gerald looked toward me. "Gerald..." Hmmm. "What have you done?" He slowly turned his head away. THAT FEATHERED MOTHERFUCKER! Kitten was right. I should have been more weary to listen. GERALD WAS INDEED PLANNING SOMETHING. AND I WAS TAKING THE FALL. I started toward him. "GERALD!" He flew. I followed. Because apparently dignity left my sense of being several chapters ago. I walked through the yard. Climbed over the fence. Trudged behind the shed. And went directly into the woods. Every couple of yards another crow appeared, guiding me further along. Go Left. Go Right. Go Straight. Take another left. Finally... I have come to a door. An actual fucking door. Built into the side of a hill. I stood there staring at it. Gerald landed beside me. "You have a fucking dungeon?" Hmmm. Of course he would. Silly of me to have questioned him. I placed the tiny key into the lock. It fit. Apparently this is my life now. The door opens. Darkness. Cobbled stairs. Torches. FUCKING TORCHES. Gerald has electricity figured out well enough to sabotage mine but chooses TORCHES for an ambient affect. I walked down the cobbled stairs. "Kitten?" Silence. And then... from deep inside the darkness somewhere: "I TOLD YOU GERALD WAS FUCKING EVIL." Oh. My. God. I sprinted toward the voice. And there she was. Behind iron-clad bars. Her hair disheveled looking. Clothes tattered. She is absolutely furious. And pointing at Gerald, who had casually followed behind me. "YOUR FUCKING BIRD KIDNAPPED ME!" "He is not my bird." "HE NAMED YOU KING!" Valid. Gerald flew onto a nearby table. Kitten glared at him. I glared at him. Gerald stared back. Silence. Then... Hmmm. "Don't you fucking 'hmmm' me, Gerald." He nodded toward the cell. And before I could ask what the hell that meant— SLAM. The door to the dungeon behind me closed. I turned around. Another crow stood beside a lever. ... Those clever tiny bastards. I looked towards Kitten. Kitten looked towards me. Then we both looked at Gerald. Gerald puffed his feathers. And then he walked slowly toward us. One tiny, petrifying step at a time. Whatever Gerald had planned... we are officially part of it now. And somewhere above us... the entire crow army began bellowing. END PART I.

My cousin Anthony Shriver has dedicated his life to building a world where people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are included, valued, and given every opportunity to thrive. Through Best Buddies, that commitment has grown into a global movement and touched countless families. That mission has always been close to our family, and I’m proud that Cheryl will be joining Anthony and the Best Buddies community this October at the inaugural Best Buddies Family Forever Conference in Columbus, Ohio. This gathering is especially for parents and caregivers of individuals with disabilities—a chance to come together, share experiences, learn from one another, and build the kind of lasting connections that can make such a difference for families. Cheryl is looking forward to being part of this special weekend, and we hope families from across the country will join her. Learn more and register today at
