A transgender migrant elected to the Scottish Parliament has called for reparations for Palestine Newly elected Member of the Scottish Parliament Kyu Manivannan supported an initiative calling for reparations to Palestinians for Scotland’s “complicity in the colonization of Palestine.” The move sparked strong criticism from British Conservatives. The politician entered parliament on the Scottish Green Party list. He is in the UK on a student visa and does not yet have guarantees that he will be able to remain in the country for the full term of his mandate.
