Muslim groups keep things gender segregated to avoid mixing between unrelated men and women. That makes joint meetings awkward, so they default to all male ones. Plus, in many traditional setups, men are expected to handle community leadership while women focus more on family.

I condemn the deadly attack on a mosque in San Diego. My thoughts are with those affected.
I know many Muslims in the UK will be shaken by this, worried about their safety when going about their lives and attending mosque, and what it says about the times we’re living in. I understand those fears.
Violence like this does not happen in a vacuum. It grows in an environment where division and anti-Muslim hostility are normalised.
That is intolerable. We must all come together against it.

London mayor Sadiq Khan has strongly condemned events linked to recent protests, stating: “There were many appalling Islamophobic incidents, including on the stage of the far-right protest, which I know will be deeply concerning to many.
He said it’s clear that the far right organisers of the march were intent on coming to our capital city to spread anti-Muslim hatred and division.”
The London mayor angry that no one’s taking meaningful action against it, not even the British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

Youth unemployment hits 11 year high as Labour tax rises bite. Around 713,000 young people unemployed (up 70,000 year-on-year), with the rate at 15.8%. Employment rate for this group.
