You won’t find the enemy of the American people abroad. The enemy is right here at home inside of our own government and inside of the boardrooms of corporations. The enemy is our own politicians in both parties who’ve turned our government into a money laundering operation for corporations, billionaires, the war machine, and Israel. Stop believing the lie that we have to build more data centers to compete with China. The US already has 5,381 data centers, which is 12 times as many as China’s 449. US billionaires want more data centers to replace our jobs and the US government wants them to surveil us at home and wage more endless wars abroad. The American people need to wake up and understand that while China is investing in bettering life for its people with housing, education, healthcare, and infrastructure, our own government is investing in making life worse for people both at home and abroad.

By mentioning the Thucydides trap, Xi Jinping is signaling that China is the new leader of the free world and what’s remarkable is, unlike the U.S., China achieved this without dropping bombs, waging endless wars, or spending $1 trillion a year on its military. Instead China became the leader of the free world by investing in its people with housing, education, health care, and the best modern infrastructure in the world, and investing in its neighbor countries through its Belt and Road Initiative, which has funded ports, railways, and energy networks across the Global South. The US became a “superpower” through endless wars, corruption, and selling out its own people to the billionaire class while China became a superpower and surpassed the US by building trade and relations with the world and investing in its people instead of wars. Americans would be wise to take note and then change our corrupt government.
