NEWS: SpaceX has renamed its residential Starlink hardware bundles as part of a product lineup simplification.
- "Starlink Standard Kit" is now Standard 4 X, bundled with the 200Mbps and Max (400Mbps) residential plans
- "Starlink Standard with Router Mini" is now Standard 4, shipping with the 100Mbps entry-level plan
- The "4" refers to the current V4 dish model, not a new hardware generation
- SpaceX also revealed a new power supply unit alongside the rename
The change is naming only; no hardware has been updated or upgraded.
The extended firing tested new hardware and cycled the six Raptor engines through multiple thrust levels to recreate different conditions seen within the propulsion system during flight. Data from the test will inform upgrades to the ship’s hardware and flight profile ahead of the next launch
