🔴 I'M BUILDING THIS OUT OF HATE! 🔴 I'll be honest. I don't love education. I never have. I grew up inside it, then started my career building more of it. I lasted long enough to learn how it really works, and I left swearing never again. You know the shape of it. A syllabus older than the students. Forty kids taught like they're one kid. Nine hours of school, four of tuition, then a room full of us mugging up the same shit until we could repeat it on cue. It was never built to find smart people. It finds good memorisers. Your Netflix knows you better than your school ever did. And if you didn't fit it, you were told you were the problem. You weren't. The system was just bad at you. I only know it can be different because of design. In design, nobody asks where you studied. You open the portfolio. It either blows them away or it doesn't. The degree doesn't count. The work does. It's the fairest test I know, because it asks one honest question. Can you actually do the thing? For years that was true for design and almost nothing else. So that's what we're building @zero_university for. Proof of work, for everyone. Not a grade. Not a profile you wrote about yourself. A real record of what you can actually do, and how you got good at it. Something you can't fake. Picture what that unlocks. No take-home assignments. No seven rounds of interviews to slowly find out what your work already shows. You stop proving yourself from scratch in every room. You walk in already proven. And we built Zero so we only win when you do. Most schools treat students as customers, so they're built to chase more of them, not to make the ones they have any better. We flipped it. You're not who we sell to. You're what we build. So we'll never trade you a degree, a hostel, and a nice story about your life for four years and a fat bill. Zero is free. And our beta users get a guaranteed interview, the one promise your college couldn't make you after all those years and all that money. This is the first launch. The thing I hated most turned out to be the thing I'm here to build. I'm writing this from a treadmill in Vietnam, and I haven't felt this alive in years.

Grateful for my first mentor in the workplace. He brought over 25 years of experience in software. His advice has never left me: Always keep yourself sharp. Leave meetings that have no value. Dedicate yourself to your craft. He knew in the first five minutes if someone would thrive in this industry. I took it to heart. I've never been obsessed with hiring the big name who just left @Google . What I care about is young, hungry energy. People with high agency who actually get things done. Some will stay a long time. Some will go build their own things. And when that happens, I'm proud of it. Because it means we built a place where ambitious people can grow. Folks family.

As much as I hate pumpfun, it’s hard for me to put the blame on them. Pumpfun fulfilled its function. Even if that function was to extract, you can’t lay the blame on them for doing what they were designed to do. The blame lies squarely on Q, Mert, Toly, the Solana FDN, Andem, Joe McCann, Salami, Kang, Alliance, Multicoin, and all of their influenza underlings that battery packed ppl into embracing a culture of rugs and PnDs. I think all of those ppl are complete sociopaths. Evil even. I’ll never forget in 2024 I was watching a podcast with Q Qiow, and I was absolutely floored by the shit he was spewing. I was amazed that he believed himself and even more shocked that the hosts just sat there nodding in the air like bobbleheads. He was saying something to the effect that every single human being would create a memecoin and trade it Solana and that this was the natural evolution of the internet, all to justify price targets for his bags (which were fucking retarded). And then I’d check X and see an army of indented craniums regurgitating his nonsense, and calling for VCs to fund this degeneracy and for builders to abandon their projects in favor of building more memecoin apps. “Just build things ppl want to use bro” Remember how often we used to hear that? Fast forward to 2026, and the “trenches” have been bled dry. Starved. Depraved. Famished. Pumpfun is still extracting to this day. But the blame lies with the ppl who encouraged that culture. Go back and look at the receipts from January 2025. Everyone who celebrated the launch of TRUMP is to blame. Dw though, most of these ppl have either existed stage left or are about to. It’s sad that they butchered an entire class of onchain users but hey, at least they onboarded all those celebrities right!?
