Myth: all stress is harmful and should be minimized.
Resistance training, cold exposure, fasting, and sauna are all forms of stress. Applied at the right dose and followed by recovery, they produce stronger, more resilient biological systems. This is called hormesis.
The problem is not stress. It is chronic unrelenting stress without recovery. Dose and recovery determine whether stress builds you or breaks you.

The myth of the Gorgon has been told by many ancient voices. Hesiod, in the Theogony, gave the oldest account: three Gorgon sisters, daughters of Phorcys and Ceto, and only Medusa mortal. Homer placed her terrifying head on Athena's aegis and in the Underworld. Pindar told how Athena invented the flute from the laments of Medusa's sisters, and Aeschylus described their snake hair and deadly gaze. Later, Pausanias and Lucan added their own variants, from a warrior queen of Libya to the desert snakes born from her blood.
For my short film, I chose to follow two of them. From Ovid's Metamorphoses, I took the tragedy: Medusa, a beautiful mortal, wronged by Poseidon in Athena's temple, then punished by the goddess, who turned her hair into snakes. From Apollodorus's Library, I took the quest: Perseus, the Graeae, the winged sandals, the helmet of Hades, and the mirror shield that let him face her without meeting her gaze.
Ovid gave my film its heart, and Apollodorus gave it its action.
I wanted this story to be seen by everyone, so I deliberately left out any scene that would have automatically restricted its audience. What matters is suggested, never shown.
The images show a selection of the visuals and animations that I had to generate using Grok Imagine in Agent mode.
I plan to post the video tomorrow, and I’m counting on you to share it if you like it.
