Natasha Cloud represents everything wrong with the modern WNBA. She walked away from an entire season in 2020 to campaign around social justice after George Floyd’s death, and later called that activism one of her proudest accomplishments. Since then, it’s been racial politics, LGBTQ+ activism and culture-war lectures. Now she’s going after Enes Kanter Freedom while presenting herself as some great defender against “transphobia.” Give me a break. Cloud can believe whatever she wants. But Americans are equally free to reject the lectures. Fans came for basketball, not to be preached at about politics every five minutes.
