Game Freak says Beast of Reincarnation is very different from the games the studio usually makes, and that was a deliberate decision. Best known for Pokémon’s colorful art style, director Kota Furushima admitted that making a photorealistic action RPG felt very different from the studio’s usual work at first. The team believed a realistic visual style was the best fit for the game’s dark, post-apocalyptic setting. Instead of using the style they’re known for, they wanted to create a world that felt believable and matched the tone of the story.

If you stare at the moon in Beast of Reincarnation for too long, your character dies. Also, don't try to swim, the same thing happens there isn't even a swimming animation, just a black screen.

Game Freak says it’s heard the feedback on Beast of Reincarnation and will start rolling out regular updates beginning next week. The studio says the first patches will focus on bug fixes, performance improvements, gameplay balance, and quality-of-life changes, with future updates shaped by player feedback. The game had a mixed launch, and Game Freak is hoping these updates will improve the overall experience over time.
