Ripple's stablecoin just hit a new all-time high. The market cap of @Ripple's fast-growing RLUSD stablecoin reached nearly $2.5 billion on September 22 - a new record for the USD-denominated asset. At the same time, $XRP Ledger's stablecoin supply is up +6% on the week per DefiLlama data, now sitting at roughly $1.16 billion.

Ripple Sees a New Role For XRP Institutional credit remains largely untapped in onchain finance despite growing interest from financial firms. Ripple product head Jazzi Cooper believes this could become a major use case for ripple:native. The XRPL's Lending Protocol enables fixed term loans using funds pooled through Single Asset Vaults. Borrowers can undergo offchain underwriting while the lending activity itself operates through XRPL infrastructure. A Lending Protocol update is also expected with XRPL 3.4.0 next week.

Ripple's RLUSD Sees Another Major Burn as Supply Keeps Growing Ripple (@Ripple) has burned 15 million ethereum:0x8292bb45bf1ee4d140127049757c2e0ff06317ed, worth roughly $15 million, on Ethereum, on Sept 10. The tokens were transferred from the RLUSD Treasury to the null address. Another 10 million RLUSD was burned on September 8, according to blockchain data.
