🌎 Our 2026 Corporate Responsibility Report, "Responsible by Design," has arrived — and it tells a powerful story. This year's report shows what it looks like when responsibility is built into every module that comes off the line. Real factories. Real jobs. A domestic supply chain. American-invented CdTe technology with decades of proven performance. Across our US factory footprint, we're proving that American manufacturing and responsible manufacturing go hand in hand. 👉 Read the full report and see what "Responsible by Design" looks like in action: #CorporateResponsibility# #AmericanManufacturing# #SolarEnergy# #AmericasSolarCompany#

It's a proof-over-promise conversation about the people and technology behind the modules we build. Mark Widmar, CEO of First Solar, recently sat down with Nick Solheim, CEO of @americanmoment, for an episode of the Moment of Truth podcast — recorded live at the @reindsummit in Detroit. Mark and Nick discuss how First Solar is proving that advanced solar manufacturing can be built, and scaled, on American soil. By 2027, we expect to have six operational US factories ramped, supporting an estimated 40,000 jobs across our supply chain and generating approximately $4 billion in annual payroll — all while competing directly with China on solar technology. Mark talks through what strong manufacturing jobs mean for our people and communities, how we're using AI on the factory floor to drive quality and output, and what it actually takes to rebuild America's industrial base. 🎧 Listen to the full episode - #AmericanManufacturing# #Reindustrialize# #SolarEnergy# #MadeInAmerica#

Solar now generates 10% of the world’s electricity, and during peak hours between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., that share rises to 25%. By 2030, these figures are expected to double. Solar supplied a record 10% of global electricity in H1 2026, over 25% around midday, but almost nothing at night. Ember estimates 459 GWh of battery additions in 2026 could theoretically shift 34% of new daily solar generation into non-sunny hours, up from 18% in 2025. This transition is already visible: solar plus batteries supplied more than a quarter of California’s evening electricity demand and 24% in Bulgaria. Many batteries remain underused, so deployment alone is not enough. Market design will determine how much stored solar actually reaches the grid. The next solar race is about batteries and integration. Solar energy is a key technology to power data center.

Solar panels, Powerwalls & Teslas… make a great combination. I charge my Cybertruck overnight via Tesla Energy. I charge my Model Y during the day via excess solar energy. What charging method do you use 🤔

The global push for solar energy could come with a hidden biodiversity cost, a study of more than 2300 Chinese counties reports. According to the findings in Science, stronger policies promoting solar development were associated with a decline in bird diversity, largely because ecologically diverse croplands and grasslands were converted to developed land. Pakistan built 27GW of solar energy in the last 2 years, equaling the entire country’s coal, gas, and oil plants
Before / After washing the solar panels +12% more energy, definitely worth the effort Also I love the "Charge on Solar" feature which just siphons off whatever extra solar energy the house isn't using to charge my Cybertruck
