America’s farms are the backbone of our economy — and we’re proud to be working with them to drive our nation’s energy future with reliable, cost-effective solar energy. To help enable American energy independence, @producers_rice, a farmer-owned co-op, chose American-made First Solar modules to power their operations. Strong farms and strong energy. This is how we build a strong, self-reliant America. “The economic study showed that the co-op would save over $100 million in electricity savings in a little over 30 years of time. So that excited a lot of the farmers.” — Keith Glover, USA Rice Chair + President & CEO, Producers Rice Mill, Stuttgart, Arkansas Learn more: #USARice# #AmericasSolarCompany# #SolarPower# #ProducersRice#

Alabama-made solar. Alabama jobs. Alabama steel. A project that's good for Alabama and good for America. Jen Deci, First Solar's Director of US Government Affairs and an Alabama native, discusses on @aldotcom the Stockton solar project in Baldwin County — and why it's right for Alabama. The solar panels Stockton plans to use are built in Trinity, by Alabama workers, with steel fabricated within 25 miles of the plant. American technology, not imported Chinese solar. Private capital, private risk, no ratepayer exposure. And willing landowners exercising the most fundamental property right Alabamians have always defended. Every manufacturing job at First Solar's $1.1 billion Lawrence County factory supports an estimated 7.3 more jobs across the region. Killing demand for the product those workers make would impact jobs, families, and communities across the Yellowhammer State. #AmericanSolar# #SolarPower# #MadeInUSA#

Solar Power Generation To Exceed Coal For First Time In Texas Grids
China's first floating solar power plant built over a mine-water area has been powering green development in Lingwu, northwest China's Ningxia, since it was first connected to the grid in 2022. With a total installed capacity of 23 MW, the plant generates about 32.39 million kWh of electricity annually, saving 9,875 tonnes of standard coal and cutting CO2 emissions by about 27,000 tonnes a year.
