Starbase GigaBay Month Eleven This month saw the GigaBay roof work progress as large parts of the covering can visually be seen, along with progress on the external cladding as the external work gets ever closer to the end, as we near the project celebrating a year. Over the coming months as the external work comes to an end, you can follow the progress on @NASASpaceflight 's Starbase Live

Starbase continues to grow and not just at the production or launch site, but all over including this new 444-acre inland site. Located east of the landfill & close to the Port of Brownsville and the ship channel, just north of the main Highway 4 that itself is growing to 4 lanes & eventually even 6 lanes in some places! According to @SpaceX , this site is to expand operations closer to the port. There will be no rocket launches or test stands here … primarily a shipping and logistics hub for increased operations tempo & possibly connections to Kennedy Space Center operations too! SpaceX already has port leases and has talked barging Starships and hardware out of Brownsville. Next door to this site, Lindy is developing industrial gas production SpaceX already uses. And I did note a long pipe coded for natural gas is being laid out along most of the east side, full length of the cleared land site, so that may help give us some clues as to what is happening here. I hope you enjoy these views and short video clip. I will make a full video with narration after FLight 14, which is coming up tomorrow! 🚀🍀👍

Starbase, Louisiana is going to be absolutely enormous ~125,000 acres ~195 square miles For scale: • ~148× Central Park • ~123× Golden Gate Park • ~3.7× Denver International Airport....the largest airport site in North America • ~2.6× Acadia National Park • ~84% the size of Zion National Park • ~8.5× the land area of Manhattan One of the largest airports on Earth would fit inside Starbase Louisiana almost FOUR times SpaceX is building an entire Starship ecosystem....propellant, power, processing, shipping, an airport and launch infrastructure for a future where Starships fly at industrial scale Elon is building the infrastructure for humanity to seriously expand beyond Earth
