🚨A convicted child s*x offender was allowed to obtain a baby boy through surrogacy - this story is going to INFURIATE you. If it doesn't... something is very wrong with you. Brandon Keith Mitchell, a registered Tier 1 s*x offender in Pennsylvania, and his partner Logan Riley hired a surrogate after creating embryos with an egg donor. They later shared a video celebrating the child’s first birthday. Mitchell had been convicted after exchanging more than 12,000 messages with a 16-year-old student while working as the boy’s chemistry teacher. The messages included explicit s*xual requests and the exchange of n*de images. Pennsylvania law bars s*x offenders from adopting or fostering children. It does not bar them from becoming parents through commercial surrogacy. No court or agency performed the kind of background checks and oversight required in adoption cases. Children are not commodities to be purchased by people with records of s*xual ab*se against minors. This loophole exists in plain sight, and it left a vulnerable infant in the home of a man the state itself has classified as a s*x offender.
