Optimus walks through the space, keeps its balance, and handles ordinary movement without demanding everyone stop and stare. That may be the real milestone for humanoids. Tesla has officially launched Vehicle-To-Load (V2L) capability for all Model Y Premium trims in the U.S. This means that you can now use your vehicle’s battery and the Tesla Outlet Adapter to power other devices and appliances including space heaters, power tools, camping gear, fans, etc, with Tesla's $80 Outlet Adapter. It's also now live on Tesla's online vehicle configurator (second pic below), and it lets you select the adapter during the config process. Since there is no "only Model Ys produced as of" date listed for the capability, presumably all Premium Model Ys have this V2L capability, but I will let you know if I hear anything different. Tesla is just in this awkward period where multiple components for one massive future product are all being built simultaneously. Tons of insane weightlifting happening behind the scenes that can’t show up consumer side until all of the components are completed. So for now, they look like a car company selling two cars and a dumpster, with a product portfolio they’ve thinned out but haven’t replaced with anything new. Because what is new is still a work in progress. But the setup appears such that there will be a moment when all of these insanely heavy lifts happening behind the scenes are completed at similar times (FSD, Cybercab, infrastructure, reg battles) and it will likely hit like a truck when everyone least expects it.
