China is pushing humanoid robots into a new era with UBTECH’s ultra-realistic UWORLD U1 companion robots, featuring silicone skin with human-like pores, veins, fingerprints and body temperature, plus 30+ facial micro-expressions and emotion-aware AI. The lineup ranges from $17,600 to nearly $146,000, with the flagship U1 Ultra reaching 2070 TOPS of computing power and up to 88 degrees of freedom. More than 13,000 units were reportedly ordered by launch day, with first deliveries expected in September 2026.
