OpenAI CFO Sarah Friar says the company will listen to its researchers and “pace the frontier and slow down” if safety concerns require it. “We do need to take safety seriously.” She added that, as CFO, she would then have to make business decisions around that slowdown. “We’re pacing that frontier and taking that safety and alignment really seriously.”
