In DC today to speak at Freedom Tech tomorrow. Here are my notes to prepare. Long speed, short friction is the trade for the rest of time as enterprise and consumer agents converge to accelerate disruption and rail usage. Time to learn about how to stay relevant as a worker and investor. Break the friction (stubbornness) in your head and adapt. Time is speeding up.

On Tuesday, I joined @BitcoinConner for a fireside chat at @bitcoinpolicy’s Freedom Tech DC summit to share my policy prescriptions for prosperity in the age of Digital Assets and Digital Intelligence. Individuals and companies need a bill of digital rights, not a bill of restrictions. I believe regulators are better positioned than Congress to advance those rights. 02:24 - Digital assets taxonomy and the path from $3T to $100T 03:03 - Digital tokens, capital formation, and 10 million new companies 05:46 - Digital currency rights: stablecoins, yield, and competition 08:07 - Bitcoin as Digital Capital: bank custody, credit, and fair rules 11:25 - $1.6T of unbanked Bitcoin capital and why bank adoption matters 12:59 - Tokenized securities, self-custody, and competitive credit 15:59 - Clarity as a bill of restrictions vs. a bill of rights 18:43 - The next 24 months: CFTC, SEC, Treasury, and White House leadership 27:14 - AI agents, 24/7 markets, and 20th-century financial rails 32:03 - Why AI agents need pure digital money and digital assets

The enshitification of blockchain: Enshitification is the process that we are all familiar with: A product starts off as great, then centralization and corporate pulls make it into a value extraction lemon to be squeezed, with Centralization as the core problem, and using Regulatory and business moats as tools. Sadly, to some extent this has started happenning within crypto. What started as an amazing Freedom tech, something that allows any two parties to transact in any manner with no trusted third party inetermediating, has too quickly devolved to something that most users access through centralized entities, leading to early enshitification. Examples: * Bitcoin is the true and first Freedom Money. But because of stubborness of the ecosystem and resistance to any change, instead of having open source coders leading to ever more Financial Freedom Innovation, it's now in the hands of the Biggest Fat Cats that it was supposed to disrupt and uppend. * Ethereum is the first Smart Contract platform and an important Freedom Technology. But because of Party-Allignment Over Merit, it's devolved into a political and stagnant place. To make things worse, centralized corpo chains and projects have been deemed alligned with the Ethereum vision, and have leaked value from the main focus to large corporations. The list goes on and on. Where does Starknet sit here? We built the best tech for Free Financial Innovation. So powerful that it allows anyone to run a full blockchain from her basement and be trusted with $Ms of dollars, backed by the integrity and power of Math. Which means that this enshitification of blockchain is overall good news, as it leads people to examine where the future lies, what is the true and lasting value proposition of blockchain. We'll continue building Future Proof Technology -- post quantum secure, best-UX, usable privacy. I'm confident that as was the case with ZK STARKs that have become the industry standard (took a few years), and as was the case with Zcash which I co-founded a dozen years ago, the long arc of Freedom and Crypto will realize Starknet as Future Proof Freedom Tech is the place to go.
