We're heading towards increased gamification of DeFi. Trading never really had an interesting "content layer", but that's changing now with apps like Euphoria and Clash of Perps. Curious if any other teams are thinking about implementing this in a more game-like experience.

Live shopping is fast becoming a popular way to sell online, but experts warn that the gamification of shopping and other auction tactics used to move product could fuel unhealthy habits.

Duolingo founder on the key to solving retention “The way we solved [retention] was just through trial and error,” Duolingo founder Luis Von Ahn explains. “By now, some of us have some intuition about what is good for gamification, but the reality is that most of it is just trial and error.” He continues: “In the history of Duolingo, we have run 16,000 A/B tests. Each one of those is trying to figure out if we change these little things — “should this button be red or blue?” — to try to get you to come back. Kudos @boringcompany ! In their latest round, they are allowing investors only if they commit to adding value. “If they fail to [add value in tangible ways], The Boring Company has the right to buy back some of their shares, they said.” If you can choose who you take money from, this is an awesome clause to add to your financing documents. Great way to filter out valueless investors. Incentives drive behavior, including among venture investors. There are easy ways to prevent gamification of this by either side.
