I haven't had a fever in 4 years. Never had a flu shot. I take D3K2/Magnesium Glycinate/Full Spectrum Aminos/MethylatedBComplex/BlackGarlic/PlantSterolsBeets/Liposomal C/DHEA/Berberine Not sure that's a good stack for everyone, but works for me. Any Dr's care to weigh in on this combo?

People ask me almost every day, "What magnesium should I take?" The truth is that there is no single "best" magnesium—only the one that best matches your body's needs. Magnesium isn't one supplement. It's a family of compounds, and each one behaves differently. Choosing the wrong form can leave you disappointed, while choosing the right one can improve sleep, calm anxiety, support heart health, boost energy, relieve constipation, reduce muscle cramps, or even sharpen cognitive function. That's why understanding the different forms matters. Magnesium glycinate is my favorite all-around choice for most people because it's well absorbed and gentle on the stomach, but it isn't the answer for every situation. Citrate, malate, threonate, taurate, chloride, and oxide each have unique strengths and specific uses. Spend two minutes learning the differences, and you'll likely make a better decision than the vast majority of people buying magnesium off the shelf. Your body deserves more than guesswork.

A lot of people ask me how to become successful but the first step is realizing that health is wealth so I figured i’d share my daily routine: Electrolytes + water + bullet coffee Run, ice tub Food, one of my girls will make me 6 eggs, avocado, banana and honey. Will chill, tweet, read, trade etc Then go gym everyday, approx 30 mins, lift weights + tweet Rotate this: • legs • chest • back • arms • shoulders • legs • shoulders, traps + arms Note: i do abs everyday and have a killer six pack Note: I do legs 2x per week, testosterone booster + will grow the rest of your body Then my day starts 6-8 coffees throughout the day, meetings, networking, trading, living I won’t eat all day until dinner. Which will typically be wild caught salmon/mackerel, or most often a thick cut grass fed ribeye or wagyu steak rare, with a massive mixed salad. Supplements: Creatine 10g Omega 3 Vitamin C - 2000mg Methylated B complex Magnesium glycinate Theanine with coffee 600-800mg per day No D3 as I’ve always had very high natural D3 levels. My testosterone levels is now 35 nmol/L or approx 1000ng/dL 80kg, 10.4% body fat Obvs when I eat out eat whatever I want but this is typical day to day routine Routine is everything. Routine brings momentum. Momentum brings money.

I'm a cardiologist. A new study found that one specific form of magnesium made adults' brains perform as if they were 7.5 years younger — in just 6 weeks. The catch, and the caveats, matter. Here's the honest version. The study, published in Frontiers in Nutrition, randomized 100 healthy adults with poor sleep to either 2g of magnesium L-threonate (Magtein) daily or placebo, double-blind, for 6 weeks. The results in the magnesium group: overall cognition improved more than placebo. Working memory showed the biggest gains. Reaction time and hand-eye coordination improved 6.3%. And on the physiology side — the part that interests me as a cardiologist — resting heart rate during sleep dropped and heart rate variability rose, both signs of a healthier, calmer nervous system. The "7.5 years younger" headline comes from translating the cognitive score difference into age-equivalent norms. It's a real, intuitive way to frame the gain — but let me be clear about what it is and isn't. Why this particular form matters: most magnesium — oxide, citrate, even glycinate — doesn't cross into the brain efficiently. Magnesium L-threonate was engineered specifically to raise brain magnesium levels, using the threonate carrier to get across the blood-brain barrier. Magnesium is a cofactor in over 300 enzyme reactions, and in the brain it supports synaptic plasticity, neuronal energy, and the electrical stability of your neurons. Most people are quietly low in it. Now the caveats, because this is where supplement hype lies to you: The study was funded by the company that holds the Magtein patent, which is common in supplement research but raises real bias risk until independent labs replicate it. It was short — 6 weeks. The participants were young and healthy and already scoring at or above age norms. There was no benefit on fluid intelligence. And "7.5 years younger" is a modeled score translation, not a reversal of brain aging on any biological scan. So: promising, not revolutionary. Here's my practical read as a physician who already recommends magnesium daily. If you're deficient — and most people are — fixing your magnesium status is one of the highest-value, lowest-risk things you can do for sleep, blood pressure, rhythm, and mood. I typically recommend magnesium glycinate at night for sleep and calm. This study makes a reasonable case that if brain and cognition are your specific target, the L-threonate form may deliver something the others can't — better brain penetration. Some people stack a small dose of L-threonate for cognition with glycinate for sleep. It's not magic. It's better delivery of an essential mineral you're probably not getting enough of. Get your magnesium status right first. Then decide, with your doctor, whether the brain-targeted form earns a place in your stack. The best nootropic is rarely exotic. Often it's just correcting the deficiency you already had.
