Investigators say she registered to vote and filed as a candidate using addresses in District 5 where she did not live. She was actually residing in Lodi and North Stockton (District 1). Fake addresses allegedly included a room above Harry’s Cocktail Lounge and Doyle Garden Apartments. Booked on $100k bail. Faces up to 6 years 8 months if convicted. This is a nonpartisan race. Election integrity matters, candidates must actually live in the districts they seek to represent. So candidates can’t use false addresses but any or no address is okay to for voters in California?
