as ai accelerates, so too will new forms of psychosis. previous ai psychosis was just a feedback loop of false positives, the larger psychosis will centre around everyone being fake and everything being generated. this will converge with the trend of social regression towards spans of proximity/ relativity; participants filtering back to true network effects and their own relative connection if anything you see/ hear and anyone interacting could be fake/ generated, and there’s no (non bastardised) supply chain on the connection level, then more people will fall into a digital version of (real) psychosis. everyone is fake and everything is generated; one step removed from [it’s all to get me] (and that’s possible to) if regression to spans of proximity/ relativity continues to accelerate, then a k shape compounds: people connected to reality in silo’s of their own proximity - interacting with people they actually know, filtering away from the surface - and people stuck on a surface where real connection is filtering away and simulation clusters are accelerating the behaviour of those who fall into the wrong side is also effectively algorithm based, which makes it very easy to pattern optimise for (most people who remain on surface, fall into the decaying influencer dynamic, post like they’re part of a collective LLM anyway) the physical analogy for this would be like a city where a section of humans just visit each other in their own houses, and another section goes to parties where there are robots indiscernibly pretending to be human (and no verification, no eyeball or passport scans, solve for any of it) there’s already been a handful of examples of this playing out here, they’re just early
