Kaziah Liz Mejo says, "This is an amazing journey. I've been working toward this for the past three years. This has been the one thing that I've always wanted: the title of Miss Universe. Now I stand here as the first Malayali who has won this title. Now, I get to represent not just Kerala, but 1.4 billion people—the majority of the world, the majority of the universe—and once again, I am promising that the Miss Universe crown is ours. I've always been ambitious ever since I was a kid. I've never thought that the sky was the limit; I thought there was a whole universe beyond that. I value my education because I believe education is really the light of tomorrow.
