Israeli settlers and heavily armed soldiers attack an unarmed Palestinian young man, beating him with complete brutality and without mercy
But the question that imposes itself is: What if this young man had been armed? What if he had tried to defend himself with a weapon?
Then the narrative would change, and the aggressor would be portrayed as the “victim,” while the Palestinian would be criminalized even while unarmed
The problem is not only with the weapon, but with a system that sees Palestinians as fair game even when they pose no threat
