The partnership begins with the locking of some 30M $CC coins, worth around $4.55M at time of writing, by Canton Strategic on behalf of Cantor8. The funds have been locked in order to remain compliant with the recently approved CIP-0116 which requires featured apps and asset issuers to lock large sums of $CC in order to maintain their status and demonstrate long-term commitment to the Canton ecosystem.
