⚓️ Ethra Ship Notes｜Vol.025 Today, I asked myself a simple question. What actually makes an RWA "real"? Is it the token? Or is it everything happening behind the token? It's easy to tokenize an asset. It's much harder to keep that asset connected to reality over time. A ship doesn't stop existing after it's tokenized. It still sails across oceans. It still requires maintenance. It still generates revenue. It still needs inspections, reporting, insurance, and operational decisions. In other words, the token is only the beginning. The real challenge is maintaining a trusted connection between the blockchain and the asset's entire lifecycle. That's why I think the conversation around tokenization is evolving. The market is slowly moving beyond issuance. People are starting to ask tougher questions. How is value verified? How is performance reported? How is trust maintained after the asset comes onchain? Those questions matter because blockchain doesn't replace operations. It amplifies them. The projects that succeed may not be the ones with the most assets.
