Tom Holland says he had no idea what “You screwed the pooch” meant when Robert Downey Jr. improvised the line in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) on-set.
“I remember walking down the thing and he said that, and I was like, 'I don't know what you're talking about.'”
Zendaya: Right, it's like, "You really screwed the pooch."
Zendaya also admitted she still says the phrase.
“Sometimes I do that, 'You really screwed the pooch on that one.'”
Tom Holland:
“It was a complete ad-lib, but it's a great line. And it works in the movie.”
