Correct. NYC is not making mistakes. They're running a dedicated Communist playbook to inflict massive pain and shift to state controlled "democratic centralism" that can take decades to fix.
@benshapiro Drive off the landlords, have the government seize the properties, give the control over to a NGO ran by close friends or political allies and the apartments deteriorate over time because the NGO is more concerned with greed than providing safe living conditions.
