Leaving 45 lb plates on machines after you're done isn't "courtesy." It's laziness disguised as helpfulness. Not everyone who uses the machine after you can safely move or unload that weight. For beginners, smaller lifters, older members, or someone recovering from an injury, walking up to a machine loaded with multiple plates can be frustrating and intimidating. Gym etiquette is simple: • Use the equipment • Finish your set • Put every plate back where it belongs A machine should be left exactly as you found it — ready for the next person to set it up for their own workout. If someone is strong enough to press the weight, they're strong enough to load it. Cleaning up after yourself isn't optional. It's part of training. Unpopular opinion, but reracking your weights says more about your character than how much you can lift. What's your biggest gym etiquette pet peeve?
