China's first humanoid robot factory in Europe--a new beginning. Europe’s first humanoid mass-production line is now running in Šabac, Serbia. On Aug 29, AGIBOT and Minth Group started the factory; President Vučić attended. It is also the first robot plant a Chinese company has built in Europe. Phase 1 is about €20 million and 3,000 m²: assembly of humanoids and robot dogs, plus motion/vision calibration and testing. Plan for this year is 500 units. First deliveries go to the 2027 Belgrade specialized Expo; the Serbian government intends to buy about 80 for greeting and cleaning. A larger robot industrial park is next, with total investment around €200 million. At full build-out, annual capacity for humanoids and robot dogs is up to 20,000, aimed at Europe and the rest of the world. The FCC ban on new foreign-made humanoids and quadrupeds has not stopped Chinese firms from going overseas--Serbia is the first stop. While Tesla, Figure, and Boston Dynamics push their own humanoids into the market, China‘s companies like AGIBOT are speeding up local plants to lock in a first-mover position outside the U.S.
