President Donald Trump has rejected Iran’s proposal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and halt regional fighting within seven days, the Wall Street Journal reported Friday, citing unnamed U.S. officials. Trump has told aides he expects U.S. bombing of Iran could resume after November’s midterm elections, according to the report. Iran says it is still awaiting an official U.S. response.
