We just bought the domain for $750,000 😳 When I first started Stan, I was so broke that the best domain I could afford was 🫠 Eventually we got and that was a huge win. tried to charge us hundreds of thousands of dollar. But we were a tiny company barely making $500k. I still remember thinking, "lol I will never pay that for a domain". So there's something really special about this moment. The most special part though is that Alyssa Williams, our first ever business hire, got the deal done. Alyssa's been with us in the trenches since day one, back before we had anything. It's a beautiful full circle moment for all of us. It might sound silly, but I'm realizing buying is a beautiful symbol of grinding for years, and then seeing the fruits of your labor manifest into the real world. So this is your reminder that you can start with a shitty domain like no money, and tons of people doubting you.
