In the Tang, chopsticks were placed horizontally on the table, and then in the Song they started placing them vertically.
At the moment I'm finishing a book on historical astrology and cosmology in East Asia. It'll be about 300,000 words with a lot of diagrams to explain doctrines. It should be published next year (probably open access).
