1/ I know we are singularly focused on CLARITY rn, but heads up on an important reg development last week: @SECGov approved an amendment to the ETF generic listing standards that allows trusts to hold 15% in an additional "digital commodity" which include LSTs like @jito SOL.

In late July, the SEC approved amendments to the generic listing standards for Commodity-Based Trust Shares across Nasdaq, NYSE Arca, and Cboe BZX. We are committed to the advancement of onchain capital markets, and believe staking infrastructure should be legible to the institutions that will rely on it. With the amended standards, a trust listed on the three listing exchanges may now hold up to 15% of NAV in a digital commodity, defined in language drawn from the SEC and CFTC's joint interpretive guidance. We have published our analysis of why JitoSOL meets that definition, alongside objective, technology-neutral criteria that issuers and exchanges can apply to any staking receipt token. A staking receipt token removes the tradeoff of a trust that stakes directly, holding an unstaked buffer or needing to borrow to fund redemptions. JitoSOL keeps capital fully staked and fully liquid. Last year, @buffalu__ authored SIMD-0286, which proposed raising the block limit to 100m CUs. Today, it was finally merged—a major step in increasing bandwidth for Solana. Block space on Solana is a finite resource that block producers have to carefully budget when packing transactions into a block. Raising the block limit to 100m CUs increases the amount of block space available in each block, resulting in higher TPS and higher rewards per block.
