The Army gave a man a meditation program in 1983 and asked him whether it worked. He answered a different question. He told them what’s on the other side of being alive.
He called it the Absolute. No boundary, no beginning, no end, nowhere it isn’t. Then he wrote it down for his commander like a line in a report: conscious force, the fundamental, primal power of existence without form, a state of infinite being.
You weren’t meant to read that. It went in a file. It got a number and a stamp and decades of silence.
