🛑 DOJ Charges 16 for Illegal Voting and Election Crimes 🛑 The Justice Department charged 16 people today for illegal voting, illegal voter registration, and related election-fraud schemes across the country. The charges include noncitizens voting in federal elections, false claims of citizenship to register or vote, wire fraud, naturalization fraud, passport fraud, and unlawful firearm purchases found during the investigations. In northern Texas, eight aliens are facing charges this week. Moises Anwar Arellano-Alba, 36, an illegal alien from Mexico already under a final order of removal, was charged with voting as an alien in a federal election and making a false statement of citizenship to register. In Idaho, Avila Gomez, an illegal alien from Mexico, is charged with claiming to be a citizen to register, then voting in May 2022 and November 2024. A Boise grand jury also charged him with wire fraud, passport fraud, identification fraud, and unlawful firearm possession. In Georgia, Analiea Milliscent Eccles, 44, an illegal alien from Venezuela and a DACA recipient, voted nine times between 2008 and 2024. Pauline Lewis, 65, a suspected illegal alien from Antigua and Barbuda, and Gabriel Covarrubias, 44, a suspected illegal alien from Mexico, were also charged there. Lawful permanent residents were charged in Texas, Massachusetts, Wisconsin, New Jersey, and Michigan for the same kind of voting and registration fraud. Sixteen cases. Multiple states.
